BIO

Bryton (born August 17, 1986 a California native) is an Emmy Award-winning actor and singer. From 1990-1997 he appeared as Richie Crawford on the sitcom Family Matters and currently stars on the soap opera The Young and the Restless. Bryton has played the role of Devon Hamilton on CBS's The Young and the Restless since 2004. He won the 2007 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actor in a Drama Series.

­­Bryton began his acting career at an early age, landing his first commercial when he was just two years old. He was soon cast as Richie on the hit series Family Matters, where he appeared in most of the show's nine-year run.

In addition to acting, Bryton has enjoyed success as a recording artist. He debuted his first single, "Ooh, The Way I Feel About You," on the German TV series Stars 2000, and has performed live on the international networks Viva, ZDF 5, and Giga TV, as well as on the Disney Channel and major broadcast networks in the U.S. His single is available on a compilation CD, titled "20 Top Hits: Winter Extra 2000," that includes songs by Britney Spears and *NSYNC.

Bryton has also done voice-over work as Freddie, on the animated series Kids From Room 402, and Mowgli on The Jungle Book CD-Rom.
 

An active spokesperson for many charitable organizations, Bryton founded his own charity in 1996 called "RADD Kids", a division of RADD (The Entertainment Industry's Voice on Road Safety),  which has been awarded by the United States government for outstanding youth safety work. He has also received The Michael Landon Award for Outstanding Contribution to Youth Through Television.  A native resident of Southern California, Bryton's hobbies include professional 100 mph Kart racing, snowboarding, basketball, video games and music. Other interests include: Friends, Michael and Marco Andretti and Newman Haas Racing, Formula 1 drivers Lewis Hamilton and Michael Schumacher; new 17 year old recording artist, Allison Kaplan and Mozambique restaurant in Laguna Beach California.
